Sam Evian – Time to Melt | VIDEO

Sam Evian drops the visualization of the title track to his forthcoming album, Time to Melt. The accompanying video was directed and edited by John TerEick and features the Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter meeting an alien in the woods near his home. The song comes as a result from Spencer Tweedy’s interviewing with Sam for Mirror Sound, a book that focuses on musicians and their processes behind self-recorded creations. The song’s statement reads:

“If you’re familiar with tarot, I think of it as pulling the death card in a positive way. It’s like facing the idea of death, which I think everyone thought about a lot this past year, maybe more than usual collectively.”

As for the video, he writes “I met a lonely alien in the woods and they taught me a jig. As the night went on they convinced me to try huffing some special kind of bug spray, which opened a wormhole vortex to another dimension.” Expect Time To Melt to land on October 29 via Fat Possum Records, pre-orders are up on Bandcamp.
